Appreciation and Congratulations

On this page, you will see many things. My appreciation for someone or something, pictures of accomplishments or events that make me proud of my clients, clients dogs and /or promotes doing something in the dog world that is somehow related to personal protection dogs. My hope is that as people view these pictures and comments, they begin to understand that the personal protection training of dogs is for more than just show. They are a vital part of our growing society. These dogs are not only protectors of there owners and families, they are our companions and friends. Through training, these animals develop a bond with their owners that can’t be replaced. In closing, if you own a dog, you owe it to yourself and your dog to get involved in some form of training and watch your bond, with your dog, grow.

Tony Smith
"Arko"
I would like to take this opportunity to show my appreciation to my mentor and close friend, Tony Smith. When Tony and I met around 1993, I had no idea of the bearing he would have on my life both personally and professionally. Tony is as analytical as any person I have ever met. He doesn’t always say what you want to hear, but he will always tell you the truth. When I told him that I wanted to train dogs, he took me under his wing and never looked back. The road ahead wasn’t always easy, but it was always full of information and training. In 2002, Tony discontinued working with personal protection dogs so he could focus his attention on Narcotic Detector Dogs. Based on the knowledge that Tony gave me and years of my continued education in training personal protection dogs, I felt that I could train and produce high quality personal protection dogs on my own. I thought enough of our friendship to ask Tony what he thought about my plan and he didn’t hesitate in saying that he thought I was ready and supported my decision, 100 percent. I am very thankful and appreciate Tony passing on his knowledge to me, but more than that, I cherish the friendship that we share.
